Greetings..!
Displacement: It is action of a body in motion which changes its motion. It is a vector quantity as it has both magnitude and direction. It has two important terms---Initial position--is the position of a body at the beginning of action and final position--which is the position of body at the end of action.
Now, for displacement to occur, the initial position and final position must not be equal. If a car moves along a circular road,it travels all the way and comes back to where it started , there is no displacement.
