Displacement Chemical Reaction :

A Reaction in which a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its Compound when reacted together is called a Displacement Chemical Reaction.

Structure :

A + BC AC + B

Examples :

1) Iron Displaces Copper from a solution of Copper ( II ) Sulphate

Fe + CuSO4 FeSO4 + Cu

2) Copper Displaces silver from a solution of Silver Nitrate

Cu + 2 AgNO3 Cu( NO3 )2 + 2 Ag
