My school is rated as one of the best schools in the city. But no educational institute is 100% perfect. Even my school has got certain areas which need improvement. The ones I’ve noticed are stated below.
1) Improvised communication or group discussion classes.
I think the communication and group discussion classes being held should be better. The number of classes held is quite a few and are rare. And when the classes are held, the classes don’t seem like group discussions but they seem like elocution. They seem so blank and lifeless. We are being given the topic the previous day, and we don’t find any debating spirit among the students at the point. The reasoning power, understanding power, communication skills, and likewise qualities are very much needed in our future endeavours.
So, I feel this area should be definitely improved. The topics selected should be in such a way that there would a huge scope of communication among students. Also, the guidelines of the group discussion process should be strictly followed. The number of such sessions should also increase.
2) Good sports courts like basketball, volleyball, etc.
Life is not all about just studying. All the successful sportsmen heir from normal schools of study. Sometimes, sports turns out to be a form of living. In the maximum number of cases, the capabilities of a human are spotted out during the school days.
I feel that sports is definitely to be given as equal importance as academics. The playground should be filled with different beautifully designed courts. The equipment being provided should be better. Sports competitions should be held more often. The playground itself might be the future for tomorrow’s national player.
3) Music classes
Even though music classes are included in the syllabus, we are not being encouraged to select the subject.
I feel students are supposed to have more freedom in choosing what they want in their lives. They must at the least be given the opportunity to discover themselves. All the necessary instruments should be available.
The music room should be made soundproof.
4) Number of washrooms
The number of washrooms is not being sufficient for a 10-minute break.
I feel that we need more number of washrooms so the students wouldn’t be late for classes. Also, the washrooms should be divided according to grades. Lower grade washrooms should have staff that guide the students.
This might not sound so good but it is a practical problem being faced by students.
