Birds in the northern hemisphere migrate northward in the springto take the advantage of burgeoning insects, budding plants and abundance of nesting location. As winter comes there is no availability of foods ,nests etc so they move to southern direction to enjoy the climatic conditions and foods available there.

Migratory birds fly hundreds and thousands of kilometres to find the best ecological conditions and habitats for feeding, breeding and raising their young. When conditions at breeding sites become unfavourable, it is time to fly to regions where conditions are better.
