If the atomic size increases the attraction of the nucleus on the adding electron decreases ,, electron affinity.

Nuclear charge is directly proportional to electron affinity....

Screening effect is inversely proportional to electron affinity........
--»Electronic configuration :-
Half filled and completely filled electronic configuration are stable and they have less affinity to accept electrons , so the electron affinity values of those electronic configuration contain elements are very less or almost zero .........
