Dissolution of synaptonemal complex is the breakdown of synaptonemal complex into two separate sets of chromosomes and this is the starting state of the fourth stage of prophase 1.

This fourth stage is called coiling stage.

after dissolution the chromosomes move to the either sides of cell.
