AnsWer :

a² - 2a + 17.

Solution :

We have, Distance of Point.

Let's Point be.

  • A ( a , 7 )
  • B ( 1 , 3 )
  • x1 = a.
  • x2 = 1.
  • y1 = 7.
  • y2 = 3.

 \tt \dagger \:  \:  \:  \:  \: D =  \sqrt{ {x_2 - x_1}^{2}  +  {y_2 - y_1}^{2} }

A/Q,

  \tt :  \implies AB =  \sqrt{ {(1 - a)}^{2} +  {(3 - 7)}^{2}  }

  \tt :  \implies AB =  \sqrt{1+ {a}^{2}   - 2a  + 16  }

  \tt :  \implies AB =   \sqrt{ {a}^{2}  - 2a + 17.}

Therefore, Our Equation become of distance AB is √a² - 2a +17.

Some Information :

  • Section Formula.

  \tt \dagger \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \dfrac{m_1x_2 + m_2x_1}{m_1 + m_2}

  • Mid-point Formula.

 \tt \dagger \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \dfrac{x_1 +  x_2 }{2}

  • Area of ∆.

 \tt \dagger \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \dfrac{1}{2} \times [x_1 + (y_2 - y_ 1) + x _2(y _ 3 - y_ 1) + x _ 3(y _1 - y _ 2) ]
