Distance between Bholu's and Golu's is 9 km. Bholu has to attend Golu's birthday party at 7 o'clock. He started from his home at 6 o'clock on his bicycle and covered a distance of 6 km in 40 minutes. At the point he mat Chintu and he spoke to him for 5 minutes and reached Golu birthday party at 7 o'clock. With what speed date he covered II part of his journey. Clculate the average speed of the entire journey.

3 km travelled in 15 minutes. speed = 3000/(15×60) = (10/3) m/s

 

average speed of entire journey :- time taken is 55 min, distance travelled 9 km , average speed = 9000/(55×60) = (30/11) m/s

Time spent in talking to Chintu=5min
So total travel time=60min-5min
=55min

Time taken for second part of his journey=55-40=15min
Speed =Distance traveled/time taken
=3km/15min
=3×1000m/ 15×60s
=3000m/900s
=3.33m/s

Average speed of the entire journey= Total distance travelled/Total time taken
=9km/55min
=9×1000/55×60
=9000/3,300
=2.7m/s
