Wavelength (W) = 30 cm = 0.3 m
Wave velocity (V) = 360 m/s

V = f × W
=> f = V/W
=> f = 360/0.3
=> f = 1200 Hz.

Time period = 1/f = (1/1200) sec.

Given :

Distance between consecutive compression and rare faction of wave is 30 cm .

Speed of sound , v = 360 m/s .

To Find :

Wavelength frequency and time period of wave .

Solution :

We know , distance between consecutive compression and rare faction of wave is equal to the the wavelength .

Therefore , the wavelength is \lambda=30\ cm = 0.3\ m .

Now , Frequency can be given by :

\nu=\dfrac{c}{\lambda}\\\\\nu=\dfrac{360}{0.3}\\\\\nu=1200\ Hz

Also , time period is the inverse of frequency .

T=\dfrac{1}{\nu}\\\\T=\dfrac{1}{1200}\\T=8.33\times 10^{-4}\ s

Hence , this is the required solution .
