Answer:

800 km from Hyderabad station

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between delhi and hyderabad = 1800 km.

let train A proceeds from delhi towards hyderabad with a uniform speed of 60 km/hr.

let train B proceeds from hyderabad towards delhi with a uniform speed of 48 km/hr.

let the trains meet after x hours.

the distance covered by train A in x hours =60x km

the distance covered by train B in x hours =48x km

the total distance = 60x+48x

60x+48x=1800

108x=1800

x=1800/108

x=50/3 hr

=16 (2/3) hr

2/3 * (60)=40 minutes

x= 16 hr 40 minutes

therefore the train will meet after 50/3 hr i.e. 16hr and 40 min.

in 50/3 hr train A will cover the distance  50/3 * 60 = 1000 Km

The trains will meet at a distance of 1000 km from delhi station and at a distance of       1800-1000

=800 km from Hyderabad station.
