There may be about 18 to 20 poles in 1 km distance. So , the distance between two electric poles on a broad gauge line may vary from 50 metre to 55 metre. In this pic ,the pole is marked with 215/40 and a milestone of 216 km from some station. 215 /40 means that it is the pole no 40 at 215 km.
