Answer:

121.6 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance between thief and police is 400 m = 0.4 km  ( i believe cm is written by mistake)

Police started after 30 min

Distance = Speed * Time

Distance covered by thief in 30 mins  = 60 * (30/60)  = 30 km

Thief is ahead by 30 + 0.4 = 30.4 km when police started

Relative Speed of Police = 80 - 60 = 20 km/hr

Relative Distance to be covered by police = 30.4 km

Time Taken by police  = 30.4 /20  =  1.52 Hrs

Distance covered by police in 1.52 hrs = 80 * 1.52 = 121.6 km

if we take 400 cm = 400 m

time by police = 1.5002 hrs

then Distance would be  120.016 km
