Distance between two places A and B is 350 km. Two cars start simultaneously from A and B towards each other and the distances between them after 4 hours is 62 km. If speed of one car is 8km/h less than the speed of other car, find the speed of each car?

let the speed of car from A is = X
then car from B = X-8
let distance of car which starts from A after 4 hours to point B is = Y
and distance of car which starts from B to point A after 4 hrs = Z
then Y+Z+62= 350
Y+z = 288km
Distance covered by B after 4 hrs= Z+62
distance covered by A after 4 hrs = 350-Z
speed of car from A , X= (350-Z)/4 __(1
speed of car from B , X-8 = (Z+62)/4 ___(2
put value of X from 1 in eqn 2
(350-Z)/4 - 8 = (Z+62)/4
350-Z-32 = Z+62
Z = 256/2 = 128 km
and X = (350-128)/4 = 55.5 km/hr*******
