Given :  distance between two points A and B is 5cm.

To Find :  how many circles can be drawn with AB as diameter

. how many circles can be drawn with AB as chord

draw a circle of radius 7 cm with AB as a chord ​

Solution:

Draw a ray   AX

Using compass width = 5 cm and taking A as center intersect ray AX at B

AB = 5 cm

ONE circle can be drawn with AB as diameter

In ]finite circle can be drawn with AB as chord

draw a circle of radius 7 cm with AB as a chord ​

Draw perpendicular bisector of AB

and using compass width = 7 cm and taking A or B as center cut perpendicular bisector at O

Taking O as center and compass width = OA / OB , draw a circle  

Radius = 7 cm and AB is Chord
