40 sec = 4400/7 m
=>1 sec= 4400/(7×40)m
=>1 sec=110/7 m
simple unitary method actually

pranavsuri4p5y1rq: Why di you multiply 40 second to denominator and not the numerator
pranavsuri4p5y1rq: did*
AbhinashDutta: as i said unitary method
AbhinashDutta: follow this logically, when 40 sec, the distance is something. when its 1 sec, the distance would obviously be less that the original distance
pranavsuri4p5y1rq: thanks a lot
AbhinashDutta: hence we divide. if we multiply then the number would increase
pranavsuri4p5y1rq: thanks again Abhinash
AbhinashDutta: u r welcome

distance cover in 40 seconds = 4400/7m
distance cover in one second = {(4400/7)×40}
= {4400×40}/7
= 176000/7
= 25142.85 ans.
hope it helps

pranavsuri4p5y1rq: According to question, I asked for distance covered in 1 sec which would be obviously be lower than the distance covered in 40 sec. Since, your answer is greater then 4400/7, therefore your answer is 100% incorrect.
pranavsuri4p5y1rq: You should have multiplied 40 in the denominator not the numerator
