Distance displacement : Calculate distance and displacement for any two chosen paths

1)A boy moves from his home to school and covers path of 3km,while returning home he stops at his friends home which was 1 km from school in way to his home. Calculate distance and displacement?

Ans-Distance=Path from home to school + school to friends home

3km+1km=4km

Displacement=Path from home to friend home

3km-1km =2km
