Distance from place x to y is 45 metre and time taken by a person to cover this distnace is 9 seconds. What is the speed of that person in km/h is

1).  Time taken by person to cover 45 metres is 9 second .

2).  So speed of person is 45/9 = 5m/s    let this be equation 1

3).  now 1 km = 1000 m  . Therefore 1m = 0.001 km

4). 1 hour = 3600 seconds . therefore 1 second = 1/(3600) hours

5). now putting these value of metre and second in equation 1 we get

   ( 5 * 0.001 )/(1/(3600))

   =  0.005 * 3600  =   18

  so speed is 18 km/h
