Answer:

Explanation:

The data for this question should be as follows:

Time in hours:     11.00   11.30     12.00    12.30    1.00

Distance in Km :     0         30          30        65        100

i) The speed of the car at 12:00 hours and 12:30 hours

Speed = distance traveled / time taken

Distance traveled =  65 - 30 = 35 kilometers

Time taken = 12:30 hours - 12:00 hours = 30 minutes = 0.5 hours

Therefore the speed = 35 km / 0.5 hours = 350/5 = 70 km/hr

∴ The speed of the vehicle between 12:00 hours and 12:30 hours is 70km/hr

ii) Is the speed of the car an example of uniform speed?

A body is said to have a uniform speed when its speed remain constant, that is, not changed over the course of its movement. This means that the body covers same distance over equal intervals of time.

In the data above, it is clear that the car covers varied lengths of distances over the 30 minutes interval. This therefore means that the vehicle does not have a uniform speed.
