The distance of z = x + iy from origin is called | z | and is given by   \sqrt{{x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} }

Hence, Distance of z = 6 + 8i from origin =

 \sqrt{ {6}^{2}  +  {8}^{2} }   \\  \\  =  >  \sqrt{36 + 64   }  \\  \\  =  >  \sqrt{100}  \\  \\  =  > 10
