(a) Distance travelled by the particle in first
(b) Average speed of the particle,
(e) Time interval for which particle is at rent,
(d) Speed at rest for parts A and C,

To find:

a) Distance in 8 second

b) average speed

c) Time for which the object is at rest

Observation:

Please see the graph carefully and then answer the part questions.

Calculation:

a) Distance travelled in 8 seconds from graph = 8 metres

b) average speed

= (total distance/total time)

= 8/8

= 1 m/s.

c)Time interval for which the particle was at rest is in PART "B".

So the time interval is from 4th to 6th second (i.e 2 seconds).

So the answer for:

a) 8 metres

b) 1 metres/second

c) 2 seconds (4th to 6th second).
