Answer:

Distance traveled/ time taken to travel this distance) =9/1 =9 km/ hr. Similarly, the distance traveled by Akhtar in one hour is 12 km. So, the speed of Akhtar =( Distance traveled/ time taken to travel this distance) =12/1 =12 km/ hr.

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

time is 1 hr for both

ratio of 2 speeds =

 \frac{speed1}{speed2}  =  \frac{\frac{9}{1} }{\frac{12}{1} }  = \frac{9}{12}  = \frac{3}{4}

ie 3:4 is the ratio of their speeds
