Distilled water does not conduct electricity but tap water does conduct electricity? why?

Your answer: Tap water contains dissolved salts in it. These salts dissociates into ions when electricity passed through it which are responsible for the electricity conductivity of tap water. But distilled water does not contain any dissolved salts, so it does not conduct electricity.

Distilled water is the pure form of water in which it does not contain any ions or solutes.So it can't conduct electricity.
Tap water is fetched from the underground or from rain.So it contain ions which can conduct electricity through them.
