crystalline solids have well defined edges and faces diffract x rays and tend to have sharp melting point in contrast amorphous solids have irregular or curved surfaces do not give well resolved x ray diffraction patterns and melt over a wide range of temperatures

Difference between amorphous and crystalline solids are as follows :-

Crystalline solids :-

Crystalline solids are the solids that have uniform molecular structure, are having high melting points and do not conduct electricity unless they are in the molten state. Most of them are hard to break.

On the other hand,

Amorphous solids :-

Amorphous solids are the solids that have non-uniform molecular structure, are having low melting points and do  conduct electricity also if they are in the molten state. Most of them are either soft or brittle.
