the jawed fishes are appeared in the Silurian period and they were diversified in the Devonian period. the interior most of the two phyrangeal arches have thought to become the jaw of these fishes.

the first amniotes appeared in the 340 million years ago in the Carboneferous period. They were duvided into Anapsid, Synapsid and diapsid on the basis of the structure of the jaw.
