Solid state -all particles in a solid state are closely packed to one another so give a solid rigid shape.

Liquid state - all particles in a liquid sate are somewhat loosely arranged hence its fluid nature.

Gases- all particles are randomly arranged hence gas has no shape .

from these particle model arrangement of particles we conclude some physical properties as:

Density Order = solids>liquid>gases

this can be explained as , gases are less dense as their particles are randomly arranged so there is no force of interaction among the gaseous particles and particles are spaced out in container as density = mass/ volume

Compressibility Order= Gases>liquid>solids

this can be explained as , as gas particles are randomly distributed among each other there is a lot of space between the particles of gas so if pressure is applied on a gas in a container it is compressed to a greater extent but as we move from liquid to solids it is almost impossible to compress a solid as the solid particles are closely packed hence pressure does not compress a solid.

Diffusion order= Gases>liquids>solids

Diffusion is faster in gases than liquids where there is more space for them to move and diffusion is negligible in solids due to the close packing of the particles.

Particle speed order= Gases>liquids>solids

again in gases particles are free to move so their kinetic energy is greater .
