The 3 states of matter are :
1) Solid =In solid state of matter the molecules are tightly packed. for eg: ice cube, in ice cube the water molecules are tightly packed.
2) Liquid =In liquid state of matter the molecules are lightly packed with each other.for eg: a glass of liquid water, in this water the molecules are lightly packed.
3) Gaseous =In this state of matter the molecules are freely suspended they are free to move. for eg: air, in air the gases are freely suspended
