1.Ethyl chloride reacts with AgNO3 and white precipitate of AgCl is found. But chlorobenzene doesn`t react.due to resonance C-Cl bond of chlorobenzene becomes partially double bond but there is no resonance in ethyl chloride.
2.In case of chlorobenzene,the lone pair of chlorine participate in resonance for this the C-Cl bond becomes partially double bond.so white precipitate of AgCl is not found for C6H5Cl.
