Explanation:

Distance is a scalar quantity that refers to "how much ground an object has covered" during its motion. *Displacement*- a vector quantity that refers to "how far out of place an object is"; it is the object's overall change in position.

Answer:

distance :-The length of the path you travelled.when you go along a complete circle its perimeter is your distance that is 2×pi×r. When you go along a semicirculaur path your distance is half of the perimeter that is pi×r.Your are initially at -360m and moves some distance and stops at 200m. Then its distance is 360+200=560m. Distance is always positive. Distance is a scalar quantity as it shows only magnitude.

displacement :- displacement is the final position-initial position. When you go along a complete circle your displacement is o as the initial and final positions are same. When you go along a semicircular track its displacement is2r (or)d because when draw a line in the semicircular track you travelledthe line forms a diameter so its displacement is d (or) 2r. Your are initially at 220m and moves some distanceand stops at -300m then its displacement os final position minus initial position that is -300-220 is -520m because displacement can be negative (or) positive. Displacement is a vector because it shows magnitude as well as direction.
