gametes are an organism’s reproductive cells or sex cells , In a man it can be a sperm , while for a woman it can be an ovum , the gametes of all organisms are always haploid and are formed by meiosis .
Role in reproduction ==> The two gametes fuse together to form a fertilised egg

A zygote is a single celled structure formed after the fusion of male and female gametes , A zygote develops to form a new organism
