Answer:

Mobile apps can be - and are being - used wherever users are. Often mobile apps are used on a high frequency base during micro interaction moments.

This because apps are being opened, checked, used and closed within minutes when people are waiting in line, nature calls, sitting in transit, etc.

Desktop users often dedicate their time and commit to start working when they’re using desktop/web apps since it means booting up the laptop, opening applications etc.

Don’t underestimate mobile apps as the craft for creating fast and minimalistic interfaces is a tough one. When you open up a great mobile app, a lot of work has been put into making things crystal clear, smooth and user friendly.

Not to mention all the work that has been put into API development, backend storage and admin portal stuff, etc. All things that aren't visible for mobile users most of the time.

It takes a different mindset when building mobile apps. A mindset that is being shared by more and more desktop developers as well.

You need to think about: will this feature be clear and help the user. You need to think in the mobile platform’s specific design and UX requirements. Then think about how you’re going to create a great user flow. And work the coding, think about API and backend integration and on all the marketing aspects like images and texts that are needed to make your app stand out in the different app stores.

hope it helps you

Answer:

Mobile applications usually come to mind when someone says 'app'. They're made for mobile devices, are downloaded on 'app stores' like iTunes and Google Play and are accessed through an icon on your phone's desktop. ... Desktop applications run on a desktop, and don't need web access to function.
