Answer: 1) Bhangar is composed of lime nodules which are also called kanker. It has a clayey composition. The khadar is light in colour and consists of newer deposits. Khadar soil is more fertile than Bhangar as it gets replenished by new layers of soil every year during monsoon floods.

2) Red soil develops on crystalline igneous rocks in areas of low rainfall. 1. Laterite soil develops in areas with high temperature and heavy rainfall. ... Red soil develops a reddish colour due to diffusion of iron in crystalline and metamorphic rocks.

3) Alluvial soil is mostly confined to the Great Northern plains and the coastal plains and support many crops like rice and wheat. Black soil is found mostly in the northwestern part of the peninsular plateau mainly in Maharashtra and parts of Gujarat and cotton grows best in this soil
