Explanation:

In rectilinear motion the body travels in a straight line whereas in curvilinear motion the body travels in a curved path. In rectilinear motion the body can travel with uniform velocity whereas in curvilinear motion the velocity keeps changing as the direction keeps changing.

When an object turns around an internal axis (like the Earth turns around its axis) it is called a rotation. When an object circles an external axis (like the Earth circles the sun) it is called a revolution.
