AEROBIC RESPIRATION:-

Respiration that occurs in the presence of oxygen .It produces more energy and the end products of the process are carbon dioxide, water and energy .Ittakes place in most of the organisms .

ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION:-

Respiration that takes place in the absence of Oxygen and produces less energy .The end products are lactic acid, ethanol and energy .It takes place in muscle cells and in yeast.

The difference between aerobic and anaerobic respiration are :-

1. The respiration which takes place in presence of oxygen is known as aerobic respiration whereas the respiration which takes place in absent of oxygen is known as anareobic respiration.

2. In the aerobic complete broke down of glucose takes place whereas incomplete broke down takes place in case of anaerobic respiration.

3. More energy produce in case of aerobic respiration but less energy produce in case of anaerobic respiration.

4. The product of aerobic respiration is carbondioxide whereas the product of anaerobic respiration is ethanol.

5. Aerobic Occurs in mitochondria of a cell but anaerobic occurs in cytoplasm of a cell.
