The main difference between Alluvial plains and Loess plains​ is the way they are deposited.  

EXPLANATION:

       The "two types of plains" can be differentiated based on the way they are deposited. Alluvial plains are formed by the material that has been deposited by the waterways such as rivers, flood, estuaries. On the other hand, loess plains are formed by the material that has been deposited by winds.

      Apart from method of deposit, alluvial and loess are also different in that alluvial is composed of clay, or gravel while loess is made up of silt and calcareous material.
