alluvial soil:

  1. found in delatic coastal
  2. it is most widespread (covers entire northen plain, parts of gujrat and Rajasthan and eastern coast plain )
  3. it is very fertile
  4. ideal for growing sugarcane,paddy,wheat and other cereal

laterite soil:

  1. it is found in the areas of high rainfall and high temperature
  2. less fertile
  3. ideal for growing tea and coffe

found in karnatka,Kerela,tamil nadu,m.p and hilly region if odisa and Assam

Answer. *Alluvial soil is formed due to the deposition of alluvium from the river whereas laterite soil is formed due to leaching in wet and hot areas. *Alluvial soil is light grey in colour whereas laterite soil is reddish. * Alluvial soil isn,t acidic whereas laterite soil is acidic and coarse.
