- found in delatic coastal
- it is most widespread (covers entire northen plain, parts of gujrat and Rajasthan and eastern coast plain )
- it is very fertile
- ideal for growing sugarcane,paddy,wheat and other cereal
laterite soil:
- it is found in the areas of high rainfall and high temperature
- less fertile
- ideal for growing tea and coffe
found in karnatka,Kerela,tamil nadu,m.p and hilly region if odisa and Assam
