the following are the differences between Island and Peninsula
- Island is an isolated mass of land where as Peninsula is a part of a particular land mass.
- Island is covered on all sides by water where is Peninsula is covered only on three sides
- examples for Islands are Antarctic and Arctic Islands examples for Peninsula are the Indian peninsula which is covered on three sides by Indian Ocean, Arabian sea and bay of Bengal
