The Andaman Islands are located in Bay of Bengal. closer to the countries of Myanmar and Thailand. The Lakshadweep Islands, on the other hand, is located on the Arabian Sea. It is close to the state of Kerala.Andaman and Nicobar Islands were formed due to volcanic eruptions while Lakshadweep are coral islandsAndaman islands are open for tourists (Indian National) unless visiting tribal reserved areas while for Lakshadweep permit is required.Lakshadweep group of islands have fewer number of islands(25) as compared to Andamans (256).Andaman islands have been travel friendly and is a popular tourist spot while Lakshadweep is less developed in terms of tourism and permit process also takes a long time.
