Appropriateness refers to the the extent to which something is acceptable or suitable or proper in the given scenario or circumstances at hand.
However, authenticity is the accurateness of something, the quality of it being authentic, its verifiable and testable.
For example: Authenticity can be tested, like checking whether a fabric is pure or not can be tested in labs.
Appropriateness is based on subjective matter, like societies decide whats appropriate age of getting married.
