Explanation:

Carbocation is attained when a perticular atom is taking a electron from the carbon atom, and due to this the carbon attains a positive charge hence, Carbo stands for Carbon, Cation stands for Positive radical.

This happens when a carbon is bonded with a electonegetive atom such as oxygen.As electonegetive atoms tend to steal electrons

Carbanion Happens when an electro positive atom is bonded to the carbon ,

and when the atom wants to leave, the carbon being more electopositive, steals the electron from the other atom .

And by doing that it attains negative charge

Electopositive atom example is hydrogen etc
