distinguish between Central Government and state government​

The Republic is governed in terms of the Constitution. Sovereignty is shared between the centre and the state government, but the central government is given greater powers. The President is the constitutional head Executive of the Union.

1. all the powers such as decision making on education and health along with  trade are transferred to the state government.

2. he has to follow order of the central government

3. state government are run by chief minister of governors

central government

1. central government holds the power of defense , policies,programs etc.

2.central government governs the whole country.

3. central government can stop any agreement which is considered unfavorable for them.
