Distinguish between centripetal and centrifugal force

centripetal force= A force which acts on a body in a circular path. One common example is a body moving in a circular path.

Centrifugal force= It is an inertial force which is directed away from the axis of rotation. It is applied in devices like centrifugal pumps, centrifugal railway etc.

Centripetal force is a force through a curved locus,the every single point of the locus takes a linear motion as it is connected to a fixed point the locus becomes a circular motion , precisely the inertia experienced by every single point due to the change in direction results in inertia which is termed as centrifugal force

These two forces remain to be ,action and reaction to each other
