a)- These settlement develop in Highland, chilly areas and semi-arid areas.

b)- The density of population is not high due to barren land.

c) -The house are dispersed and scattered over a wide areas.

d)- The size of such settlement is not large.

e)- Fishing, cattle rearing etc are the activities of the people.

f)- In desperate settlement there are no such problems.

g) -The size of a farm are large and isolated.
