As the word indicates direct democracy is one where the head of the country is elected by the people’s vote directly.

It is the people or the citizens who will take the decision.

On the other hand indirect democracy is one wherein an elected body will vote on behalf of the people and choose the government for the country.

Thus both are different from one another in several respects.
