Distance:-

=> Distance is the path covered by a moving object.

=> Distance is always positive. Distance can never be negative or zero.

=> Distance is a scalar quantity.

Displacement:-

=> Displacement is the shortest distance between initial position and the final position.

=> Displacement can be positive, negative or zero.

=> Displacement is a vector quantity.
