Explanation:
Simply lets take an example of throwing of ball.......say that a boy threw a ball 10 m away in front and he is facing east so...if we'll talk about distance so we will say that the ball covered 10 m.
But of we will talk about displacement we will say that the ball has displaced 10 lm in east..
so its clear that the distance will only tell the lenght while displacement will also give the direction....
