  • Ectotherms are cold-blooded animals while endotherms are warm-blooded.
  • Ectotherms don't maintain temperature while endotherms maintain constant temperature.
  • Examples of ectotherms - fishes, amphibians, reptiles. Examples of endotherms - birds, mammals.
  • Ectotherms have low BMR while endotherm is high BMR.
  • Ectotherms usually have anaerobic respiration while that in endotherms is aerobic resp.
