Elastic collisions - where there is conservation of Kinetic energy.
Inelastic collisions- where there is a loos in Kinetic energy, since it transformed into other forms of energy..
In both, total momentum and total energy of the system remain the same.
EC- a ball bouncing on the floor, and returning to its original height after every bounce.
IEC- a ball hitting a secondary ball comes to rest/slows down after hitting the second ball.
