In exothermic reaction heat is evolved but in endothermic heat is absorbed
Ex of endothermic is decomposition
Ex of exo. Is burning

Hello dear!! ☺️

EXOTHERMIC reaction
--------------------------------
Those reaction in which heat is evolved . When carbon Burns in oxygen to form carbon dioxide , In this reaction a lot of heat produced .The burning of natural gas is also an exothermic reaction .

For example :-

Carbon + oxygen ===> carbon dioxide + Heat
or
C ( s ) + o2 (g) ==> CO2 (g) + Heat

ENDOTHERMIC reaction
----------------------------------
Those reaction in which heat is absorbed are known as Endothermic reaction .
The reaction between nitrogen and oxygen to form nitrogen monoxide is an Endothermic reaction.

For example :-

carbon carbonate + Heat ==> Calcium oxide + carbon dioxide

CaCO3 (s) + Heat ==> CaO (s) + CO2 (g)
