Farmers who are working in their own fields are the ones who own the fields. Therefore they do not have any work obligations or tight working schedules since they are not answerable to anyone. They employ the landless farmers to work in their fields so they are basically creating employment as well. The profits they get after making expense payments are theirs.

On the other hand landless farmers work as labor and employees under Land farmers. They have an obligation to answer to the farmer who has hired them and also perform well in their assigned duties. They get low wages from their employers and do not have any control over the business. They have tight work schedules.
