Ferrous metal contain iron whereas non ferrous metals do not contain iron.

Ferrous metals are magnetic.They are more vulnerable to rust and corrosion when exposed to elements.

FOR Ex- aluminium and copper are non ferrous metals and carbon steel, cast iron and wrought iron are ferrous metals.
